Spring meeting in Perinatology 2025

The annual National Spring meeting on Perinatology (‘Vårmötet’) took place in Umeå, Sweden on 20-21 March 2025.

The meeting covered a wide variety of topics within obstetrics, maternity- and neonatal care, including the latest clinical guidelines, research study results and abstract presentations.

At the conference, several members of the N4 research group were actively involved. Prof Magnus Domellöf was chair of the planning committee who organized the conference and also gave talks in two sessions: A presentation of the new national guidelines on extreme premature birth as well as a talk on the impact of nutrition on children’s later health.

Sara Olivecrona, neonatologist and PhD student chaired the session ‘Co-care for a cohesive family throughout the entire care chain’.

And in the abstract presentation session PhD student Malin Bergman Papworth presented the INSPIRE study, and pediatrician and postdoc Itay Nilsson Zamir presented the revised guidelines for neonatal hypoglycemia.

”This was a well-attended two-day meeting with great sessions and discussions on highly relevant and current topics in perinatology” said Prof Magnus Domellöf.
