On Wednesday 23 October 2024 there were news that two research grants had been awarded!
First, Prof Magnus Domellöf was one of 15 researchers to receive a ‘spjutspets’ grant from Region Västerbotten for his project ‘Effects of fetal and infant nutrition on brain development and later cognitive/behavioral problems in children’.
This project incorporates several studies including randomized, controlled, clinical trials on early nutrition interventions in a general population as well as during intensive care, a national population-based cohort of extremely preterm infants and the NorthPop study.
The project was awarded 3 million SEK for the years 2025-2027.
Second, NorthPop received an infrastructure grant from Region Västerbotten of 1,25 million SEK for the year 2025.
”We are happy and proud to be the recipients of these grants, which will be instrumental for the continuation of our important research” said Prof Magnus Domellöf about the two awarded grants.
